The snow in the mountains

I just thought you would like to see the snow on our mountains. Actually as I write this, the snow is already gone. It is in the high sixties. I am wishing you all a Merry Christmas. We will go to Yuma on Christmas day.
I hear the snow is some kind of record in Spokane. What is it like in Utah? Keep the blogs and pictures coming. They are so fun to read. Love, Grandma

My slide show

Well I did it, with Destenee's help, here is our home. I forgot to take a picture of the spare bedroom, so I will add it to something next time I post.
Also Please notice how clean my desk is, and how messy Davids is, he says it's because that is where all the work is done." I beg to differ, that is where he plays suduko instead of cleaning his desk!

We are remodeling the bathrooms, I will have to include before and after pictures when we are done. Today we moved the wiring for the light fixtures. Since I am here typing this , you know we did not get electrocuted.

Bye for now, Love Grammy

They are here!

I think they came a little early, we are still in triple digits here. Amazingly you do adapt.
Yesterday we went to see "Get Smart" at a $1:50 theatre, and David Spent $10:00 on popcorn and pop. He is so high maintenance! I thought the show was a kick.
Then I checked into a sleep lab for an all nighter. I wish I would have taken my camera, it took almost an hour to hook me up to I don't know how many electrodes on my head, chest, and legs. Of course as soon as I was all hooked up and ready to sleep I had to go to the bathroom! It was not a fun night, the technician was really nice, and said the next morning, "you really needed to have this test done." Then said, "you know I can't tell you anything" when I asked what that meant? I really have been having trouble with insomnia and fatigue, but I thought that was a part of this aging thing I am into right now.
I really enjoyed Destenee's slides of the lake with the boys, I am going to try to do that, but we need to take a string of pictures first. Now I need to check out everyone else's stuff, so talk to you later......love Granny

Audrey and me

Hello everyone,

Audrey has been with us for a week tomorrow. She has been a really good girl, and is sooo fun. She really acts up when she see's herself in the full length mirror. Kristina and Scott have a really cute dog here. Now don't tell Freeman or Tillie, because grandma loves them just as much!

All of your pictures are coming up on the Ceiva Frame, lots of them from trips you have taken and your times on the houseboat. I know that school has started and fall is here, but it is 107 degrees here. They closed the golf course for a month to reseed. We are watching movies, reading and going to the mall. Staying cool and swimming every day. Our friends are starting to trickle down from Spokane, and we are glad to be here. Our little house in Spokane was cute, and we enjoyed our stay. Next year we will stay one month longer. love, Grammy

Guess who was here to great us!

We are back home!, We are unpacking and staying cool. Out side it is 106, we are expecting cooler weather soon.
We brought Kristina's wedding cake in dry ice! Hooray Kristina!

The houseboat was too fun this year. We missed some of you. Our little rental was nice, but its nice to have two bathrooms and a large kitchen again.

We drove from Spokane to some place before St. George, we wanted to make it to Mesquite, but that was wishful thinking. Went through Salt Lake in the early afternoon, and I thought about each of you as we passed by. We made it to Thousand Palms the next day .
Our phone is now charged, we could not find the car charger, It died while I talked to Jodie somewhere after Dillon. We plugged it in when we got here. Out TV, Phone, and computer is up and running today!
Love ya, Grandma

My name game

This grandma is thinking of girls names all the time! Is Jamie having a girl? what is going on with my mind! I think of girls names all the time, even when I read or watch tv. Did someone give me this assignment?

Here is a list:

Faith
Allyson
Jubalee
Ariel
Brenna Jen
Alana
Jillian
Geneva
Alexia
Sophie Jo
Isabella Rae
Bella
Kyra Kristal
Jameese

Let me know if I can quit all this mental work.

We are home now from baby sitting the Julagay's house of dogs and cat. Puff would hardly have anything to do with us, but Tilly is a hoot. She just loved David and cuddled him all nite long. If

we put her in kitchen she would have a hissy fit, and of course David would go get her. She layed on his head, at his back etc. I slept through it all, but in the morning all the rooms were array with the stuff she had dragged out of Kira's room and all of her doggie toys would be everywhere, what a packrat! Paired with Freeman, they should be a riot on the house boat.

I have been doing some shopping for the house boat today, pretty soon you will be coming here to play. Of course the garage sales keep me busy too.
You can see what David does while I run around.

ow! that hurt.

How is this for a shinner? Actually this is a pretty good picture. It got even worse looking the next couple of days. Here is what happened. We got to our cute little rental house on Sunday and moved in. Monday we got up, did Tai Cha, and walked about three miles. Then I went and played golf, it was a hot afternoon and I told my friends that I would only play 9 holes. So I pulled a cart and played. I was pretty hot on the last hole, but David came and got me and I came home and took a shower. I then sat down here at my computer and was going to get directions to a resturant, called the ELK in Browns addition. We were going to meet more of our friends from Palm Springs. Suddenly I felt a little lite headed, and that is the last thing I remember until David was talking to me and trying to get me up off of the floor. We have beautiful hard wood floors here. I can vouch for that! Over the next two days it got even worse.
I went to my doctor and he did an EKG, it was normal, but just to error on the side of caution I have to have a stress echo cardiogram this week. Most likely I was dehydrated, but what the heck, I will get on a treadmill and prove my metal.
What was really funny, was that I went to the library to get some books, and this man stepped up to me and said, "if you need someone to talk to I am here to listen. I said,"do you mean because of my eye?" He said yes, so I tried to reassure him, now wasn't that sweet!
I read your blog Destenee, and you and Dane look pretty good on the course. Has he tried those new hybrids?
I loved my time with all of you, I am so
proud of Ky, and I still go over in my memories, sitting with him and reading the dinasour book. (shall I hode him?)I love that. Has any thing come up in the flower pots yet? Kamden was brilliant at school. Really focused and participates, it was all very special for me. Even Tyce let his grandmagrandma hold him!
Kyle, you looked tired at dinner, I hope you are a little rested now. Summer school is a grooling experience.
You are all busy busy people, and Alysse is starting a new job. I hope she likes it, and can still come to the house boat.
Bye for now, Grandma

Cortnie and her prom

Kristina just forwarded pictures of Cortnie in her prom dress. Her date was at Kristina's wedding. Jodie made the dress. Good job Jodie!
The weather here is 100 degrees, but our house is cool. We have a domesticated duck in our pond. His name is AFlac, and is white. For a while we did not know if AFflac was a boy or girl Now we know, because the babies that were born earlier this Spring are now getting big and Blackflack (my name for him ) is one of them. His mom is a regular mallard. He is really getting big, now bigger than the others. He is not an ugly duckling because he is too cute!

opps I forgot

The top picture is of the fault. Just in case you did not know what they look like. There is an oasis about two miles from here that we can walk right on the fault. ( scary?)

The cactus flowering is such a new thing for me, and they are all flowering now.

The picture on the right is for Kamden and Kye, Can they find the caterpillar and the lady bug?

The pond picture is to show you all what I have to drive over! Love .............Grandma

The coyote

Hello everyone.

We have a coyote problem here. They are always around the desert, but they are getting braver, they think anything small and wiggely is for a meal. We feel pretty safe, but the rabbits on the 12th hole need to be careful, and a couple of toddlers have been grabbed and rescued by their parents. That made national news! Here is one walking down a busy street.

The weather has been just beautiful, but the hot weather should arrive next week. By that we mean triple digits. Our friend Rick Doherty is flying in today. He owns a home here, He rents it most of the time, and comes down as much as he can. David has two other bachelor friends that he golfs with all of the time. They are coming for dinner. So they owe me big time for cooking on Mothers day.

The course is so quiet, because so many people have returned to their homes up north. I go out the door and tee off on the front lawn which is really the golf course. Drive over the pond and try to make it to the green. So far I have only come close and fished out a lot of balls!

There have been some earthquakes, but I have not felt them. We are real close to the San d' Andreas fault. (sp?) Actually less than 2 miles. That is Why I am the nurse on the diaster committee. I am incharge of medical, Pattie is also on, and is in charge of shelter and food.

We have everything covered right?

Hello everyone..

Happy anniversary to Jamie and Kyle!

I watched the video of Kamden 3 times so far. It is so special.
I am coming to Utah. I will arrive on the 10th, then stay until the 14th when David will pick me up and then we will drive to Spokane together.

I do not know if Dane has a blog, or just reads yours. I know that Kyle really likes his hybrids, so maybe Dane wants me to buy some for him. Last year they were really on sale for a good price.

Patti has gmail now, and her address is plemcke.7@gmail.com. Next I will show her how to create a blog. I need to learn how to do videos on my camera too. I am looking forward to hearing about Mexico from Destenee and Brad.

I will see you all soon..............

A home to baby sit in Spokane

This Charlie again. He really looks different all scrunched up and standing on one leg. He is really a very tall egret. He visits the pond and us almost every day. There are also two road runners, Rhonda and Ronnie who eat out of our hands. They are the funniest birds, and love raw hamberger. The mamma and daddy ducks have 10 babies.

Hurray! We are going to rent a home in Spokane for two months. From June 15th until the 21st of August. Jodie put an ad on craigs list and we have a small home on Rockwell ( near N/W boulevard) that a young single girl who is going to Hawaii for the summer wanted to rent while she was gone. Jodie went to see it and said it is toooo cute!

We are really not wanting to leave here, but we may change our minds in a couple of months when it really gets hot. We really do love it here.

We just got back from the pool. We usually swim early in the morning, but now that it is getting warm, we golf early and swim later. Anyway the water is refreshing and good exercise. I have to tell you all that when we arrived there were about 4 walkers and a scooter chair at the stair edge of the pool, the folks were all in the pool. I laughed to myself, because it reminded me of a nursing home. For now I am jumping in and swimming, but as we get older, we maybe part of the walker waders.
love you all, grandma marilyn

Picture with Grandpa Joe

This is such a good picture of all of you.

Hope your party was fun Kyle, it looks like it was.
Pattie is now reading the blogs. I talked her through it on the phone. She was using Bobs computer, and now she has all of us on her "favorites" She was excited. She needs to create a blog, and then she can really be cool!
Tyce taking his first steps was neat for her to see. She also said that KyKy really took to Bob, and talked all the way through the house tour while Bob held him. The stories about Kamden are so sweet. What a special guy.

I talked to Kristina today, it is hot in Yuma, and she was making Chili for dinner. Her license is endorsed in Arizona and she will start working soon. She said she had talked to Jodie and that it might be snowing in Spokane. What a winter! The weather here is beautiful, a little breezy today.

Kyle is going to Summer school. I hope I get to see everyone this summer. If not on the boat, we will stop on the way to or from Spokane. That is if we can find a place to rent. This summer will be another adventure for David and me. Jodie is trying to find us an apartment. I tried on the internet, and nothing worked out. Everyone wants a six months lease. We only want to be gone for 3 months.

These posts are a blast to read. The pictures are wonderful.

Charlie is back

Charlie is a large grey heron. He has been gone for a couple of months and now he is back. We have two great white herons here too, but Charlie is the only grey one.
We also have some baby ducks, but momma duck has taken them to the pond on the 13th fairway. I love to watch the birds, however the ducks are really "messy" when they come up to the patio. We had to quit feeding them. David had to hose off the patio too many times.

Trying to post a picture

I keep trying to post a picture, lets try again
Hey it worked! I can do this.
Jimmy took this picture, do you remember?
I have some more, I will continue to post.
The weather here is beautiful, Played 18 holes. I will let you know what my score is when I break 100, which I have not done this year.
I just looked a Destenee's house, I did not know that it would be a farm. How cool is that for the boys. I thinks chickens would be great, the price of eggs went up 60%!
I love you all ....grandma
