ow! that hurt.

How is this for a shinner? Actually this is a pretty good picture. It got even worse looking the next couple of days. Here is what happened. We got to our cute little rental house on Sunday and moved in. Monday we got up, did Tai Cha, and walked about three miles. Then I went and played golf, it was a hot afternoon and I told my friends that I would only play 9 holes. So I pulled a cart and played. I was pretty hot on the last hole, but David came and got me and I came home and took a shower. I then sat down here at my computer and was going to get directions to a resturant, called the ELK in Browns addition. We were going to meet more of our friends from Palm Springs. Suddenly I felt a little lite headed, and that is the last thing I remember until David was talking to me and trying to get me up off of the floor. We have beautiful hard wood floors here. I can vouch for that! Over the next two days it got even worse.
I went to my doctor and he did an EKG, it was normal, but just to error on the side of caution I have to have a stress echo cardiogram this week. Most likely I was dehydrated, but what the heck, I will get on a treadmill and prove my metal.
What was really funny, was that I went to the library to get some books, and this man stepped up to me and said, "if you need someone to talk to I am here to listen. I said,"do you mean because of my eye?" He said yes, so I tried to reassure him, now wasn't that sweet!
I read your blog Destenee, and you and Dane look pretty good on the course. Has he tried those new hybrids?
I loved my time with all of you, I am so
proud of Ky, and I still go over in my memories, sitting with him and reading the dinasour book. (shall I hode him?)I love that. Has any thing come up in the flower pots yet? Kamden was brilliant at school. Really focused and participates, it was all very special for me. Even Tyce let his grandmagrandma hold him!
Kyle, you looked tired at dinner, I hope you are a little rested now. Summer school is a grooling experience.
You are all busy busy people, and Alysse is starting a new job. I hope she likes it, and can still come to the house boat.
Bye for now, Grandma

Cortnie and her prom

Kristina just forwarded pictures of Cortnie in her prom dress. Her date was at Kristina's wedding. Jodie made the dress. Good job Jodie!
The weather here is 100 degrees, but our house is cool. We have a domesticated duck in our pond. His name is AFlac, and is white. For a while we did not know if AFflac was a boy or girl Now we know, because the babies that were born earlier this Spring are now getting big and Blackflack (my name for him ) is one of them. His mom is a regular mallard. He is really getting big, now bigger than the others. He is not an ugly duckling because he is too cute!

opps I forgot

The top picture is of the fault. Just in case you did not know what they look like. There is an oasis about two miles from here that we can walk right on the fault. ( scary?)

The cactus flowering is such a new thing for me, and they are all flowering now.

The picture on the right is for Kamden and Kye, Can they find the caterpillar and the lady bug?

The pond picture is to show you all what I have to drive over! Love .............Grandma

The coyote

Hello everyone.

We have a coyote problem here. They are always around the desert, but they are getting braver, they think anything small and wiggely is for a meal. We feel pretty safe, but the rabbits on the 12th hole need to be careful, and a couple of toddlers have been grabbed and rescued by their parents. That made national news! Here is one walking down a busy street.

The weather has been just beautiful, but the hot weather should arrive next week. By that we mean triple digits. Our friend Rick Doherty is flying in today. He owns a home here, He rents it most of the time, and comes down as much as he can. David has two other bachelor friends that he golfs with all of the time. They are coming for dinner. So they owe me big time for cooking on Mothers day.

The course is so quiet, because so many people have returned to their homes up north. I go out the door and tee off on the front lawn which is really the golf course. Drive over the pond and try to make it to the green. So far I have only come close and fished out a lot of balls!

There have been some earthquakes, but I have not felt them. We are real close to the San d' Andreas fault. (sp?) Actually less than 2 miles. That is Why I am the nurse on the diaster committee. I am incharge of medical, Pattie is also on, and is in charge of shelter and food.

We have everything covered right?

Hello everyone..

Happy anniversary to Jamie and Kyle!

I watched the video of Kamden 3 times so far. It is so special.
I am coming to Utah. I will arrive on the 10th, then stay until the 14th when David will pick me up and then we will drive to Spokane together.

I do not know if Dane has a blog, or just reads yours. I know that Kyle really likes his hybrids, so maybe Dane wants me to buy some for him. Last year they were really on sale for a good price.

Patti has gmail now, and her address is plemcke.7@gmail.com. Next I will show her how to create a blog. I need to learn how to do videos on my camera too. I am looking forward to hearing about Mexico from Destenee and Brad.

I will see you all soon..............

A home to baby sit in Spokane

This Charlie again. He really looks different all scrunched up and standing on one leg. He is really a very tall egret. He visits the pond and us almost every day. There are also two road runners, Rhonda and Ronnie who eat out of our hands. They are the funniest birds, and love raw hamberger. The mamma and daddy ducks have 10 babies.

Hurray! We are going to rent a home in Spokane for two months. From June 15th until the 21st of August. Jodie put an ad on craigs list and we have a small home on Rockwell ( near N/W boulevard) that a young single girl who is going to Hawaii for the summer wanted to rent while she was gone. Jodie went to see it and said it is toooo cute!

We are really not wanting to leave here, but we may change our minds in a couple of months when it really gets hot. We really do love it here.

We just got back from the pool. We usually swim early in the morning, but now that it is getting warm, we golf early and swim later. Anyway the water is refreshing and good exercise. I have to tell you all that when we arrived there were about 4 walkers and a scooter chair at the stair edge of the pool, the folks were all in the pool. I laughed to myself, because it reminded me of a nursing home. For now I am jumping in and swimming, but as we get older, we maybe part of the walker waders.
love you all, grandma marilyn
